Welcome

Welcome to Fusion Racing League's very first Le Mans Ultimate World Tour Season 1

The purpose of this event is to:

  • Test the SimGrid event system.
  • Learn the LMU race format.
  • Help drivers become familiar with multiclass racing.
  • Have fun in a respectful and competitive environment.

This is a test event, so please be patient if any technical issues arise.

Event Format

  • Practice opens at 19:00
  • Drivers should be in the server before 19:45 (i.e. Divers Briefing)
  • Qualifying starts at 20:00
  • Race follows immediately after qualifying.
  • The event will be hosted through SimGrid.
  • Late join is not available.

Qualifying Format

Qualifying will be held in Private Qualifying and will last 20 minutes.

The qualifying results from this session will be used to set the starting grid.

Please ensure you are ready before qualifying begins, as no additional qualifying sessions or restarts will be provided unless directed by Race Control.

Turn 1 Reminder

Please take it easy into Turn 1.

The opening corners at Le Sarthe can become very congested with both GT3 and LMP2 cars. Winning the race on the first lap is impossible, but losing it is very easy.

  • Brake a little earlier than normal.
  • Leave plenty of racing room.
  • Be patient through the opening corners.
  • Avoid unnecessary risks.
  • Remember that a clean first lap leads to a better race for everyone.

Our goal is for every driver to make it safely through Turn 1 and enjoy the rest of the event.

Driver Conduct

Every driver is expected to:

  • Race cleanly.
  • Respect fellow competitors.
  • Be patient.
  • Drive within the limits of the car.
  • Remember that everyone is here to enjoy the event.

Aggressive or intentional contact will not be tolerated.

Track Limits

Always keep at least two wheels within the white lines or kerbs where the game defines the circuit.

Repeated abuse of track limits may result in penalties from the game or race control.

Overtaking

The responsibility for making a safe overtake always lies with the overtaking driver.

When attempting a pass:

  • Be significantly alongside before turn-in.
  • Leave racing room.
  • Avoid divebombs.
  • Do not force another driver off the circuit.

Defending

Drivers may:

  • Make one defensive move.
  • Return to the racing line safely.

Drivers may not:

  • Weave.
  • Brake-check another driver.
  • Move under braking.

Rejoining the Track

If you leave the circuit:

  • Rejoin safely.
  • Yield to cars already on track.
  • Do not drive across the racing line if traffic is approaching.

An unsafe rejoin that causes an accident may receive a penalty.

Blue Flags

If a faster car is lapping you:

  • Stay predictable.
  • Do not suddenly move off line.
  • Lift slightly on a straight if safe.
  • Allow the faster class through at the earliest safe opportunity.

Remember:

Predictable is better than polite.

Multiclass Racing

This event includes GT3 and LMP2.

LMP2 Drivers

You are the faster class.

Please:

  • Plan overtakes early.
  • Be patient.
  • Do not expect GT3 drivers to disappear.

The responsibility for passing safely belongs mainly to the faster car.

GT3 Drivers

Stay on your normal racing line.

Do not:

  • Suddenly move aside.
  • Brake unexpectedly.
  • Attempt to help unless it is clearly safe.

Consistency helps everyone.

Contact

Small racing incidents happen.

If you cause another driver to spin or leave the track:

Please slow down and wait if it is safe to do so.

Showing good sportsmanship is always appreciated.

Voice Chat

Keep voice chat clear during:

  • Qualifying
  • Race starts
  • Safety situations

General conversation should be kept to a minimum during racing.

Rage Quitting

Please do not leave the server after an incident.

Even if your race is compromised, staying in the event helps everyone and provides useful feedback for the test.

Respect

No:

  • Abuse
  • Insults
  • Harassment
  • Toxic behavior

Treat everyone with respect.

Good racing starts with good sportsmanship.

Technical Issues

As this is a test race:

  • Server issues may occur.
  • Restarts are at the discretion of the event organizers.
  • Administrators' decisions are final during the event.

Feedback after the race is encouraged.

Streaming

If you are streaming:

  • Keep communications respectful.
  • Avoid encouraging toxic behavior.
  • Remember you represent Fusion Racing League.
